FM-200 calculator
Work out how much FM-200 clean agent your room needs and the cylinders to hold it, using the NFPA 2001 total flooding method. Then send the figures to us for a quote.
FM-200 agent quantity calculator
Enter the size of the room to work out how much FM-200 (HFC-227ea) a total flooding system needs, and the cylinders to hold it. Based on NFPA 2001, Standard on Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems.
Your result

This is an estimate for planning. The final design (agent quantity, cylinders, pipe network and nozzles) is confirmed by our engineers with a site survey and a hydraulic calculation. It does not allow for openings that cannot be closed.
Fire classes and design concentration (NFPA 2001)
- Class A: fires in ordinary combustible materials such as wood, cloth, paper, rubber and many plastics. FM-200 design concentration 6.7%.
- Class B: fires in flammable liquids, oils, greases, tars, oil-based paints, lacquers and flammable gases. Design concentration: the cup burner value for the fuel x a safety factor of 1.3.
- Class C: fires involving energised electrical equipment, such as server rooms and switch rooms. FM-200 design concentration 7.0%.
